Budding Femcee Brianna Perry Nominated for a BET Award!

Amongst the 2012 BET Awards nominees for Best Female Hip-Hop artist, is budding rapstress, Brianna Perry. The Miami-born, Atlantic Records recording artist firmly holds a spot beside seasoned female Hip-Hop artists, including Diamond, Nicki Minaj, and Trina.

Without a doubt, it is Perry’s rugged vocals—which have often been compared to Foxy Brown’s— and feminine appeal that have distinguished her, and landed her in such a sought-after spot.

Formerly known as Lil’ Brianna, the rising artist discovered her rhyming abilities when she was only three years old. And while Perry had plenty of success in her younger years—being featured on Trina’s “Kandi” single and collaborations with Jacki-O and Lil Steph—her nomination for a 2012 BET Awards is among the most note-worthy to date.
